Nun... es ist schön, einige UNIX-Brennsoftware auf Ihrem Mac zu haben, und X-CD-Roast verwendet die cdrtools als Brennmotor. Es ist völlig unabhängig von den von Apple bereitgestellten CD-Brenntreibern und 100% Freeware. Daher ist es sehr gut möglich, dass X-CD-Roast auch mit einem Brenner funktioniert, der von Mac OS nicht unterstützt wird. Außerdem hat X-CD-Roast viele interessante Optionen - wie Overburning-Unterstützung, Erstellung echter UNIX/Joliet-CDs, Multisession, CD-Text, hochwertige Audioextraktion selbst von den meisten kopiergeschützten Audio-CDs, DVD-Brennen ohne spezielle Software und mehr...
Bitte beachten Sie, dass dies eine Software ist, die über 6 Jahre gewachsen ist. Es ist überhaupt nicht Apple-ähnlich. Es könnte anfangs verwirrend sein, also lesen Sie bitte die Popup-Hilfe zu jedem Button. (Bewegen Sie Ihre Maus ein paar Sekunden über ein Element, um Hilfe zu erhalten.) Die Textdokumentation ist installiert in /usr/local/lib/xcdroast-0.98/doc, also könnten Sie einen Blick darauf werfen.

Application uses PowerPC code, so it won’t run on 10.7 Lion or later.

managed to run Xcdroast ( 0.98alpha15 )on tiger (10.4.5)
- made an "alias" on the desktop, double click on it starts X11 which opens Xcdroast - it´s so simple.
Only problem is to make xcdroast visible, so you can make an alias because Mac OSX hides certain folder and files.
Make folder visible by running the following in a terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
now you can locate xcdroast ( /usr/local/bin/xcdroast ) and make an alias.
then run
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles No
because you don´t want to see all these unix folder and files all the time.
that´s it
now i go and try to find out why MissingmediaBurner isn´t running (although i changed the Main.scpt and findDrives.scpt as recommended by jla320af and Norbert W.)

Tiger (OS X 10.4) might seem to have broken x-cd-roast, but it actually works fine.
Install as usual (the most recent version -- currently the Panther version).
Ignore the helper app for starting the program -- this doesn't work in Tiger (because of an Apple bug, apparently).
Start X11. (In Applications>Utilities).
An x-term (i.e. terminal in X11) window will appear.
In this window type '/usr/local/bin/xcdroast' (without the quotation marks). That will launch x-cd-roast.

This is a fantastic application: it will make an exact copy of an audio CD. And it is free.

It could be this is good, but I cannot get it to work.
I had to write the key myself, and I think it's quite annoying that it's so long, because copy-and-paste does not share the same clipboard as Aqua. :(
It doesn't save settings either.
I'm not rating it, as I can't get it to work.
